“As a child, my Mother took me to a symphony concert with a cello soloist. Mom said, ‘I bet you could play cello like that!’ In her own way, Mom helped me choose the cello. Ever since that concert, I have loved making music on the cello”, says Scott.

A freelance musician who also maintains a busy teaching studio, Scott lives in Walcott, Iowa. In addition to his musical endeavors, Scott is an Award-winning visual artist. He regularly contributes artwork to Double Bassist, Bass World and other music publications. When not performing with various chamber ensembles, he travels around the Midwest sketching and painting the landscape.
